NA organization 100 Thieves has placed five players and three coaches on inactive status following its 2026 rebrand announcement.

The North American organization, 100 Thieves, has announced a complete team rebrand ahead of the 2026 season. After failing to qualify for the VALORANT Champions tournament for the third consecutive year, the organization decided it was time for a major roster overhaul.

100 Thieves reflects on the 2025 season

After winning VCT Americas Stage 1 in 2024 and placing fourth at Masters Shanghai, 100 Thieves expected momentum. Instead, the team was eliminated early at the 2025 Kickoff, missed Masters Toronto, placed sixth in Stage 2, and failed to qualify for Champions.

“We entered 2025 with one of the most promising programs, yet we consistently failed when it mattered,” said vice president Joseph Jang. He admitted individual talent shone, but the team never achieved the goals set for the year, which demanded some crucial changes.

The organization acknowledged fans’ frustrations and promised a full evaluation of roster building, strategy, support, and execution. 100 Thieves now aims to build a squad with the foundation for championship success in 2026. Five players and two coaches have been moved to inactive status and are open to signing with other teams.

Inactive roster

Players

100 Thieves moved Kelden "Boostio" Pupello to the inactive roster before VCT Americas: Stage 2, and he hasn’t played since. Boostio previously won the 2023 VALORANT Champions title with Evil Geniuses. He is now one of the players affected by the team's rebranding for 2026.

One of the team’s stars, Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk, also felt the impact of this decision. A core member since 2020, Asuna moved to the inactive roster after five years with 100 Thieves, and there is no confirmation of him coming back to the 2026 season. His future with the team remains uncertain, and players have already begun revealing their availability to other organizations on X.

Another player who left everyone surprised was Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban, who has been a member of the team since 2022. Also known as Cryo, the player might not come back to 100 Thieves for the 2026 season. He was known for his crazy duelist plays, especially with Yoru and Chamber.

Alexander "Zander" Dituri was the next on the line of the 100 Thieves 2026 rebrand. The controller player ended up in the same position as the remaining roster and is open to new teams ahead of the next season.

The Korean player, Drew "Kess" Lee, was also affected by these decisions. The sentinel 23-year-old player joined the team in July 2025 and will now be open to new teams.

So far, only Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic has remained with 100 Thieves for 2026. He has not been moved to the inactive roster nor publicly declared himself open to new signings. There is still no information on his situation, nor whether he will also be in the same position as the remaining roster.

Coaches

The coaches were not saved for the 100 Thieves rebranding for 2026. The Head Coach, Anthony "Zikz" Gray, alongside both assistant coaches, Yury "frenya" Elkin and Rudi "rudi" Mcken, were also moved to inactive positions.

There is a lot of uncertainty around what 100 Thieves will do and which players they will be signing for the 2026 season. We will be ready to provide all the information as soon as we know more about it.
