The Finals Major coming in 2025 with a $100,000 prize pool

The Finals has withstood the test of time when you compare it some other shooters. An example is XDefiant, which we recently saw begin its sunsetting period. The Embark Studios title, however, remains strong and has announced The Finals Major.

There have been grassroots esports tournaments, community efforts by the developers, and a Twitch Rivals event in the past. Nothing of this magnitude, though. Introducing The Finals Major, coming in 2025, with a prize pool set at $100,000.

At the time of writing, the game has hit its fifth season. After a surprise launch at The Game Awards 2023, its year anniversary coincides with Season 5. You'll find a new map, a celebration of sorts in and out of the game, and other incoming content.

But what about a competitive aspect? This is one of the more competitive first-person shooters out there. It has its unique Cashout system, its three-player team set up, destructible environments galore, and incredible movement capabilities.

Private matches were a late addition to the game, and more and more rumors of a competitive scene have come out recently. Now, players who want to try their hand as a pro in The Finals have to wait no longer.

Embark Studios has just announced The Finals Major of 2025 with a solid opening prize pool of $100,000. Those are all of the details we know, unfortunately. They say the "road to esports starts now" and to "get your teams ready."
