TEKKEN 8’s post-release roadmap has finally been revealed. Players can now take solace in knowing Bandai Namco’s planned direction.
The developers had a lot to share with fans in the February 19 livestream. There are months to get through for TEKKEN 8’s roadmap, so let’s crack on.
What’s coming in TEKKEN 8’s post-release roadmap?
TEKKEN 8’s Season One has already commenced, and we’re in the middle of the roadmap as you read this piece. They’ve broken Season One into three parts. Oh, and of course…Eddy will arrive sometime in the Spring period.
He’s “more mobile than before” according to developers. Eddy will also feature new animations for transitioning from the handstand to the relaxed position. In TEKKEN 8, he’s tailored to newer players, so prepare to see Eddy online all the time.

What’s coming in February for TEKKEN 8?
TEKKEN 8’s roadmap will bring in the second update. While there’s no confirmed time, it will be happening anywhere from February to March. Players can expect the patch notes the day before its release.

In-game collaborations and TEKKEN Shop
Fans can gear up for the UNIQLO and TEKKEN 8 collaboration. Players will be able to get free TEKKEN-themed UNIQLO gear in an actual store in the Fight Lounge. To purchase these items, players simply use their avatar in the Fight Lounge and go up to the service desk at the store.
Gamers can expect one to two updates a month with new clothes in each. Of course, some items in the future will need to be paid with your hard-earned cash. But, the UNIQLO collaboration will be free for gamers.
You’ll also be able to purchase emotes for your avatars via the Fight Lounge and the TEKKEN Shop. You’ll be able to purchase certain items using TEKKEN COINS. These coins won’t be available cross-commerce according to the developers, despite TEKKEN 8 being a cross-platform game.

Disgruntled gamers can expect character changes coming via the second TEKKEN 8 update. This will not change things like overpowered characters, but it’ll make them play as previously intended.

- Alisia’s follow-up to Brute Force Attack
- Chain throws becoming unbreakable during a punish
What’s coming in April and May for TEKKEN 8?
Gamers looking to flex their competitive TEKKEN 8 skills can gear up for the TEKKEN World Tour 2024.
The World Tour commences on April 12 with its global and regional leaderboards. Not only that, but Chipotle will be sponsoring the World Tour. These will be offline events only.
Developers plan on changing and tweaking characters in April as well. They’ll also continue to focus on random bugs plaguing online matches and add new features along the way.
As for May, the TEKKEN 8 developers shared via their roadmap that they’ll be continuing to update the game. However, there are some plans they’re hoping to work in eventually, like:

- Photo Mode
We’ll get the next live announcement in late March, 2024. So, we’ll have to wait and see if there’s more in store in the coming months
