Tekken 8 Leaks: Potential Season 1 DLC characters datamined

We might have the names of the remaining three DLC characters coming to Tekken 8 in Season 1 according to an alleged leak from a dataminer. Up until now only Eddy Gordo has been confirmed by Namco, with the other three to be announced in the future.

Dataminer Shootmans posted on Twitter on January 27 about his discovery, but it wasn't until his post was shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours Subreddit that it began to gather more attention.

To acquire the names of the potential DLC characters Shootmans used Cheat Engine to explore code and strings while Tekken 8 was running. Cheat Engine is typically used to modify single player games, for example to make them more difficult or to give you unlimited money.

According to the dataminer Shootmans, within the game data files is reference to four unnamed fighters, listing their fighting style and country of origin. One such reference is to a character from Brazil whose fighting style is Capoeira, which sounds incredibly like Eddy Gordo who Bandai Namco already confirmed as a DLC Character for the Season 1 Pass.

The clues Shootmans found in the code were: a fighter from Poland, a Muay Thai fighter from Thailand, and a Vale Tudo fighter from Australia. If you're a Tekken fan this may be enough to connect the dots, but if not here's the character names they most likely relate to.

Lidia Sobieska made her debut in Tekken 7 as DLC in the Season 4 Pass, as one of the last characters to be introduced ahead of the release of Tekken 8. Lidia was a very strong character on release, but as is customary with broken DLC characters, was nerfed shortly after. While the reference code in the Tekken 8 datamining did not mention her fighting style, there is reference to a Polish fighter. So far in the Tekken universe, Lidia is the only Polish fighter.

Craig Marduk is another character seemingly mentioned in the game data, a Vale Tudo fighter from Australia, yep sounds about right. Marduk was first introduced in Tekken 4, and has appeared in every game entry since. The Hulk of Tekken, wrestler Marduk was a heavy hitter and his more rugged redesign in Tekken 7 - ft Kratos-inspired beard - went down well with Tekken fans.

Much like Lidia, Fahkumram made his debut in Tekken 7. The 2 metre tall Muay Thai fighter from Thailand was covered head to toe in tattoos in Tekken 7, and is arguably the most popular of the three potentially leaked characters for the DLC Season 1 Pass.

Now it's important to note that this list is very different to the Tekken 8 DLC leaks from January. The previous leak - which claimed to be from a PSN Germany screenshot - claimed the three DLC characters would be Armor King, Xiao Meng and Roger.
