The esports season finale allowed the community to peek into the game’s future. Harada revealed a new TEKKEN 8 update, Season 2, and more.

Many exciting announcements were made during the TWT Finals 2024. All of them are about the future of TEKKEN 8: updates, Season 2, and new characters. The details are here.

TEKKEN 8 new character: When is the reveal?

The announcement that interests the entire community most of all did not happen directly at that event. The TEKKEN 8 new character is still a mystery, but we already know when the official reveal is happening.

  • The TEKKEN 8 new character will be shown during The Game Awards 2024 ceremony: at 4:30 p.m. PT / 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec.12.

The new challenger joins three other TEKKEN 8 characters of the Year 1 Pass:

TEKKEN 8 Anna Williams teased in the Season 2 trailer

The attentive eyes of the community noticed hints at Anna WIliams joining TEKKEN 8. The main ones are:

  • Kiss prints on the missiles during the scene with Nina Willaims;
  • Harada was wearing a T-shirt with Anna Williams during his presentation.

We have a dedicated article talking all about the hints at Anna WIliams in TEKKEN 8 and the character in general. Please, check it out for more info.

It is more likely that TEKKEN 8 Anna joins the game in Season 2, as her hints were present in that part of the reveal trailer. Still, she can be the last Year 1 character.

There are no TEKKEN 8 guest characters so far, and we certainly can expect them to be added to Season 2 as well.

TWT 2025: The TEKKEN World Tour returns

This announcement is exciting but not surprising. Considering the general success of TWT 2024, it was logical to expect the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 to be the next chapter in the official esports series.

There were plenty of Master, Challenger, and Dojo events in the 2024 competitive season. The winner was determined during the Finals event: Rangchu with his Kuma became the first TEKKEN 8 World Tour Champion. Such players as Arslan Ash, ATIF, ULSAN, and Shadow 20z are certainly up to revenge in TWT 2025.

TEKKEN 8 Season 2: Big updates in 2025

The next big TEKKEN 8 update is planned for Spring 2025. Before that, we get some interesting but still rather minor changes, like Photo Mode improvements and bonus tiers in the Fight Pass.

The Spring 2025 TEKKEN 8 update adds new moves for all characters. There is no info about adjustments for the current movesets, but we can expect them happening: like in the previous TEKKEN 8 patch that nerfed Dragunov and Nina.

TEKKEN 8 Fight Pass update

The Fight Pass update in TEKKEN 8 will add new bonus tiers. The seasons here are long, and dedicated players reach the top tier early. Bonus tiers should add extra motivation for them to battle for rewards.

30th Anniversary TEKKEN 8 Fight Pass is coming next to the game. It brings some legacy items, which are mainly character costumes. Some of the items were shown in the official Winter Updates trailer.

Look for a specific player

This new feature allows TEKKEN 8 players to find a specific person within the game. For example, you battled someone in online matchmaking, and you want to search for this player. You need to know their name to find their profile.
