Red Bull is here with their first Tekken 8 tournament, Golden Letters 2024.

Red Bull is returning to Tekken with their first Tekken 8 event. Red Bull Golden Letters 2024 will be the first to feature the newest entry in the series. The event will feature several invited professional players alongside four open qualifiers across regions. Here's everything you need to know about Red Bull's foray into Tekken 8.

Red Bull Gaming Sphere to host Tekken 8 tournament

Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London will be the host for the two-day event in September. Building on last year's successful event, TEKKEN players from across the world will fight to be crowned Champions. For the first time, Red Bull will be hosting TEKKEN 8 open qualifiers across four regions. North America, Europe, Japan, and the UK will each be getting their own qualifier. These qualifiers will run between July and September 2024.

The Golden Letters concept

This year's Red Bull Golden Letters will be the first to be played on the newly released TEKKEN 8. The event will use a format similar to the Golden Letters events in 2022 and 2023. By putting their core fighting game skills to the test, the event encourages perfect play and clutching in players. Achieving "PERFECT" or "GREAT" scores, aka "The Golden Letters", will allow players to win matches automatically.

“It’s so good to see Red Bull Golden Letters returning for a third time. It’s become a real moment for the TEKKEN scene to look forward to every year, and new global qualifiers are great to give more opportunities and add even more wildcards to this competition. With the competitive scene still working out TEKKEN 8, the format adds such a great challenge for us, and is going to be so fun for fans to see play out - I can’t wait!”
