How to Link Battle Net account to Twitch cover image

Make sure you actually receive those Twitch drops

Battle.net games often have Twitch Drops enabled in special promotions and gamers can get exclusive cosmetic rewards. But to get these rewards in your account, you have to link your Battle.net account to Twitch. Here’s how to link the Battle.Net account to Twitch and ensure you get rewarded during these special promotions.

Link Battle.Net account to Twitch

  1. Log in to your Battle.net account
  2. Go to your Battle.net Connections page
  3. Click Connect next to Twitch and follow the instructions

Your connected Battle.net account is the one you will receive rewards in, so make sure to connect the correct accounts. In case you have multiple accounts, you should ensure you link the battle.net account you want to receive rewards in.

Even after you connect your Twitch account to YouTube, you should ensure that you are logged in to Twitch while watching the streams. If you are not logged in, then you will not be eligible to receive any rewards.

After unlinking a Twitch account from Battle.net, a new Twitch account cannot be added for seven more days. This is done to ensure players cannot spam and game the system to gain rewards on multiple accounts despite watching only on one Twitch ID.  Finally, resetting your Twitch password breaks connections which means the Twitch Battle.net link will be broken. You will need to connect the two accounts again if you want to receive rewards in your Battle.net account.

How to Unlink Battle.net and Twitch accounts

Unlinking the two accounts also follows a similar process as linking them. You have to make sure that

  1. Log in to your Battle.net account
  2. Go to your Battle.net Connections page
  3. Click Disconnect next to Twitch and follow the instructions.

This should disconnect the link between Twitch and your Battle.Net account. Remember you can only link another account after a cooling period of seven days.
