TFT Realm of the Gods mechanic explained

These champions will be able to gain favor by visiting the Realm of the Gods, which will be the new set mechanic. As a celestial marketplace, the Realm of the Gods will show the gods’ offerings to players and replace TFT’s traditional carousel.

At the start of every game, two gods will be randomly selected and visit the Realm of the Gods. Then, in the middle of each stage, players will select between the offerings presented by each of these gods. They’ll be able to align with a specific god if they choose their offerings at least two times in stages 2, 3, and 4. In stage 4-7, a player’s favored god will bless them with a special boon.

TFT Set 17 missing carousal explained

As noted, the TFT Set 17’s Realm of the Gods will replace the traditional carousal. However, the carousal will return in the future. TFT Set 17 game designer Matt Dunn confirmed this on Day 1 of the Lore & Legends Tactician’s Crown tournament.

“But I want to be clear — this is a break. It is not going away forever. We have no plans to limit it. You will see it return,” Dunn said.

TFT Set 17 traits

The featured traits in TFT Space Gods will be Meeple, Anima, Dark Star, Stargazer, Factory New, Mecha, and Fateweaver. Here are the details.

TFT Set 17 Space Gods TraitDetails
MeepleMeeple is a trait of Meeps. Meeple are spacefaring champions alongside their companion Meeps, who join them in battle and empower their abilities in “Meepy” ways.

As you field and star up more Meeple, you’ll see more Meeps.

One of the Meeps is so powerful, she became a TFT-exclusive champion, Meepsie. She’s a 2-cost tank.
AnimaAnima is a high-risk trait that rewards you with tech for every loss you suffer and every takedown you get.

Each time you reach 100 tech, you can prototype new Anima Weapons. You can then either take them or save for stronger ones later. These weapons work on any champion, but are especially effective with specific Anima units.
Dark StarDark Star units create Black Holes that consume low-health enemies.

As the trait increases, your strongest Dark Star unit becomes Supermassive and gains additional bonuses from the entire trait.
StargazerStargazers chart a different constellation each game that determines a hex pattern to empower allies.

As you level up, more hexes are revealed. There are 7 constellations, and each of them has unique effects.

Lulu, a Stargazer unit, changes her spell based on the chosen constellation.
Factory NewFactory New is a unique trait for 5-cost champion Graves that allows you to select a permanent upgrade every few rounds. This lets you adapt him into either a tank or a damage carry.
MechaConsists of three units that can transform into their ultimate forms. Transformed Mechas take up two slots, gain bonus stats and abilities, and contribute +1 to their trait.
FateweaverFateweavers have built-in precision, giving their abilities a chance to crit.

The more Fateweavers you play, the higher the chance their abilities upgrade into stronger versions.

TFT Space Gods augments

There will be 40 new augments in TFT Set 17 as well. Eight of them will be hero augments that will give champions an alternate ability. There will also be a hero augment that grants players access to Zed as a unique infinite-cloning 5-cost champion.
