TFT Cyber City Tactician's Crown

The Tactician's Crown tournament for TFT Set 14 will happen from July 11 to July 13 and feature 40 players from around the world. Who will rise as the Cyber City champion? Only time will tell. This event will mark the culmination of months of intense competition across four different regions.

Asia-Pacific (APAC) will send 11 players while China (CN) will have 10 players. Next, the Americas (AMER), covering North and South America, will also send 10 players. Finally, the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region will round out the lineup with nine TFT players.

Since Joseph "Dishsoap" Goldsmith won the Into the Arcane Tactician's Crown back in March, he will be guaranteed a spot at the Cyber City edition of the tournament.

TFT Cyber City Tactician's Crown: What to expect

In terms of what to expect at the TFT Cyber City Tactician's Crown event, it will feature a points-based system. Just like previous tournaments of this kind, this will allow players to earn between one to eight points based on the result of each game. The tournament will kick off with 40 players split into five starting lobbies via a snake draft. Then, over the course of six games on Day 1, only the top 32 players will enter Day 2.

On Day 2, players will go through three rounds of two games each. There will also be eliminations after every round. The four highest-scoring TFT players across both days will then secure spots in the Grand Final while those in 5th to 12th place will get one last shot in a final round.

Finally, the TFT Cyber City Tactician's Crown Grand Final will feature 12 players duking it out under the checkmate format. The first one to get 20 points and secure a first-place finish will become the Set 14 champion and earn the lion's share of the $470,000 USD total prize pool! Of course, whoever takes home the gold will earn a spot in the TFT Set 15 Tactician's Crown as well.
