Stakes beyond the sky: Tournament preview

Only two Premier events remain in the Capcom Pro Tour 2025, and Evo France is one of them. The tension around the Capcom Cup 12 qualification is real at this tournament! Just advancing to the official final is an honor, and the prospect of winning 1,000,000 is pretty sweet.

Some of the best players in the world traveled to France for this opportunity. They are Evo Champions and top tournament winners. Here are some names worth watching out for.

  • Punk is an Evo 2024 Champion. He needs some extra standing points to qualify for Capcom Cup 12 from the global leaderboard.
  • Blaz is a young sensation of Capcom Cup 11 and the SF6 EWC 2025. He #2 on the leaderboard, but strengthening positions is not excessive.

  • Tokido is a legend of Street Fighter esports, and he participates in this event, too.
  • Leshar won Combo Breaker and CEO 2025. The Korean player is considered one of the best at the moment.

The final Capcom Cup 12 Premier qualifier is FightClub Championship VI Chengdu, from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. In addition to the direct invites and the global leaderboard, players can qualify from their regional World Warrior Circuit. The number of spots for each region is very limited, though: 1 for small or 2 for major ones.
