The partnership makes HyperX the official gaming peripheral partners of the skateboarding ace.

HyperX has announced a new partnership with American national skateboarding champion Minna Stess, becoming the official gaming peripheral partner of the competitive skater.

As part of the partnership Stess will become HyperX's newest brand ambassador. She will exclusively wear and promote HyperX gaming headsets, while also being involved in various HyperX marketing initiatives. Stess also becomes the newest HyperX Hero, joining football player JuJu Smith-Schuster among others.

“HyperX remains focused on infusing industries within the gaming ecosystem and encouraging all gaming personalities to express themselves, and we are proud to welcome Minna to the ambassador family,” HyperX celebrity and athlete marketing manager Dustin Illingworth said in the official release. “As an inspiration for young female athletes, Stess’ fun, humble and authentic personality is a perfect addition to the HyperX roster as we continue to grow our gaming lifestyle brand.”

Stess began competing in skateboarding at the age of five. She won multiple titles across the world including the 2021 USA National Championships and the Mystic Skate Cup Ladies Bowl in Prague, Czech Republic. She also placed second in the La Kantera Bowl in Spain. With a skateboarding event debuting at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Stress will attempt to become an Olympic skateboarder in 2024.

“As a teenager and female athlete in a male-dominated sport who also loves gaming, it’s very important to me to partner with companies who encourage diversity and inclusion for everyone,” Stess said in the release. “I’m excited to join forces with HyperX as we all work to break the mold and change perceptions, while encouraging young women like myself to keep chasing after their dreams.”
