Hopefully Hailey Welch has been Talk Tuahing a lawyer over these last 15 days.

It has been 15 days since Hailey Welch, also known as the Hawk Tuah girl, has made any comments on social media after pulling off an alleged massive crypto scam.

However, the famous creator claims that she was not a part of the parties who took part in the scam, committing herself to holding the guilty parties accountable.

Ever thought you would read such a story? I must say, I am quite surprised to be writing it. Let's break down everything that happened.

Hailey Welch launches crypto meme-coin, hurting thousands of investors

The popular creator, Hailey Welch, known for her famous Hawk Tuah moment, announced just a few weeks ago that she was going to be joining the meme-coin train. What's the meme-coin train? Various creators have been launching cryptocurrencies and pushing them to their fans.

Sounds kind of dumb, right? Yeah, it is, but a lot of people have made money from it (and lost thousands). Regardless, most people getting into meme-coins understand the risks. However, Welch seems to have either not known about the parties around her scheming to scam thousands of people or she was a part of it.

When her meme-coin, $HAWK, was first released, around 95% of the shares were held by 10 people. These people were parties already associated with Welch. Then, soon after thousands of others invested, these 10 pulled out, running away with quite a bit of money, scamming others out of thousands.

This is called a rug-pull, which can fall under the category of fraud, making it illegal.

So, was Welch in on this rug-pull? Or was she manipulated and tricked by outside parties?

Welch commits herself to holding responsible parties accountable in recent meme-coin scam

After the release of her meme-coin, Hailey Welch disappeared from the internet, leading many to believe she took their money and ran. Well, today, the creator made her first post on Twitter since the incident.

"I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community," said Welch in a recent Twitter post. "I am fully cooperating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter. If you have experienced losses related to this, please contact Burwick Law using the link below."

Welch then posts a link to the law firm she suggested people affected use. However, many are questioning the shadiness of her recommending a specific lawyer after she personally hurt quite a few people.

This whole situation could truly be her being manipulated by others, and if it is, I hope that they are all held accountable. The same, however, goes for Welch.
