Tachy is a vital character to the story of Stellar Blade, and with Tachy Mode, you can carry on her memory.

Stellar Blade has you control EVE, otherwise known as the Angel to citizens of Xion. She has a slew of powers and abilities for you to upgrade and master. One of those is Tachy Mode, a Stellar Blade ability that decimates enemies and is needed to obtain one of the game’s trophies.

To complete Revenging Agent trophy, you have to defeat 50 enemies in Tachy Mode. So, after you obtain the Tachyon Blade weapon, you can equip it, charge up Tachy Mode much like your Burst with your original sword, and unleash hell.

We’ve got all the details on how to obtain the blade and use it. Spoilers ahead, of course!

How to get the Tachyon Blade in Stellar Blade

Tachy is EVE’s commanding officer and partner in battle at the start of Stellar Blade. Unfortunately, during the opening portion of the game, an Alpha Naytiba appears to kill her. Adam then saves EVE and you reach Eidos 7 to really begin exploring.

Well, as you progress, you’ll come across Tachy. She isn’t completely dead, but instead taken over by the Naytiba. They made her one of Alpha status, and you have to fight her in a rather challenging boss battle.

The notification in Stellar Blade appears stating that the Tachy Mode still was unlocked.

Defeat her and she’ll request the EVE carry on her memories. The crew returns to Xion after the battle, and you can go to the safehouse to speak to Lily. She’ll inform you that EVE can use Tachy’s skills and weapons in battle, thus providing you her Tachyon Blade.

How to use Tachy Mode to unlock the Revenging Agent trophy in Stellar Blade

EVE stands in the Wasteland with her sword drawn, as the one-winged icon's outer circle is filled and glowing.

A one-winged icon now appears above your healing and tactical equipment on the left side of the screen. As you fight, the circle around that icon begins to fill. This is how you know when Tachy Mode is available:

  1. Defeat enough enemies to fill the one-winged icon
  2. Press in the left and right stick simultaneously to begin Tachy Mode
  3. Defeat as many enemies as possible before the Tachy mode timer runs out
  4. Repeat until you defeat 50 enemies in Tachy Mode to unlock the trophy

Tachy Mode’s timer appears at the bottom middle of the screen, so you’ll know when it is at its end. You have plenty of special attacks to use while it is active, so take advantage of those to chop down those 50 enemies quickly.

All Tachy skill tree upgrades

Just like your Attack and Survival skill trees, you’ll have a specific Tachy one for when you unlock her abilities in Stellar Blade. Obtain them all to become a formidable opponent to any Naytiba.
