Some pretty shocking moves happened in the pro esports scene. The new competitive format may be the reason for them.

Ahead of RLCS 2025, the Rocket League community was surprised by two big transfers. Team BDS and G2 Sprite quit the scene and dismissed their rosters as the World Champions and the runners up. On the threshold of RLCS 2026, the esports organizations have decided to shake everyone up even more, and some transfers look just wild.

Roster eligibility in RLCS 2026: The 2/3 Region Lock rule

The RLCS 2026 season brings some changes to the schedule and to the tournament format. One particular rule affects Rocket League transfers significantly.

  • According to the official 2/3 Region Lock rule, two of three players in the standard Rocket League team should be from the region they compete in. If a team has a substitute player, this means three out of four players should be citizens or permanent residents of the region they compete in.

The rule is made to boost regional competition, as now, organizations can’t bring international powerhouses to win local trophies.

M0nkey M00n to Twisted Minds

The two-time World Champion changes his team again. Evan “M0nkey M00n” Rogez is considered one of the best Rocket League players in the world, and in RLCS 2026, he will represent Twisted Minds.

It’s pretty shocking to know that after being in Team BDS for more than four years, M0nkey M00n switches organizations for the second season in a row. It’s even more surprising to know that Team Vitality could not keep this player.

Twisted Minds is a Saudi organization, and they go against the 2/3 Region Lock rule to let this transfer happen.

Trk511 is out of Team Falcons

This part of the Rocket League transfers is both shocking and disturbing. Mohammed Khalid “Trk511” Alotaibi was a star player in Team Falcons, literally the face of this team. He is a local hero in Saudi Arabia and just a talented competitor. After more than three years in Team Falcons, Trk511 was benched.

We sure don’t know the background of this move, but Trk511 played brilliantly during the season. He helped Falcons win the Raleigh Major 2025.

Rumors say Trk511 can remain in the scene after signing with Twisted Minds.

dralii leaves Karmine Corp for Falcons

This guy became the Rocket League World Champion in 2024 as part of Team BDS. Despite a very good season, Karmine Corp could not win the title with Samy “dralii” Hajji in the roster — and in RLCS 2026, the player joins Team Falcons.

This move is quite in tune with the 2/3 Region Lock rule, as dralii is from Morocco, and KC is a European team.

The Ultimates loses the roster

The team was very strong during the RLCS 2025 season, even if The Ultimates did not win an international title.

Still, all the players and the coach left the organization.

  • Jason “Firstkiller” Corral and Logan “Lj” Wilt join Shopify Rebellion.
  • Nick “Chronic” Iwanski is a free agent. Reportedly, he joins Spacestation Gaming.

Archie and oaly. leave Geekay Esports

With this team, Archie “Archie” Pickthall and Ole “oaly.” van Doorn reached the grand final at the Rocket League Esports World Cup 2025 and were in the top 8 of the Birmingham Major. Both are free agents now.

Geekay Esports is a Saudi organization, and these transfers may be caused by the RLCS 2026 format — still, GK competed in the EU.

Spacestation Gaming loses two players

The team reached the top 8 in the two recent World Championships, but Spacestation Gaming released players again. Before RLCS 2026, SSG lost two players.

  • Angel “kofyr” Lopez joins Shopify Rebellion.
  • Zachary “Scrzbbles” Stone quits Rocket League esports.

Complexity Gaming is out of Rocket League

At the start of the RLCS 2025 season, Complexity Gaming were 3rd–4th in North America. The results got worse deeper into the year. The team participated in only one international tournament: Complexity Gaming was 12th–14th at the Birmingham Major.

Now, three players lost their organization, and Complexity Gaming decided to depart the Rocket League scene.
