SK Gaming returns to Rocket League with Team Aether signing

SK Gaming has announced a new Rocket League team after a gap of nearly five years. The organization has signed the former Aether players.

SK Gaming has announced its return to competitive Rocket League by signing the former Aether players. The announcement comes one day ahead of the  RLCS X Spring European Major. 

 “It’s been a few years since we’ve scored goals with cars, and when the opportunity arose to sign this team, we really wanted to get back into the game again. The Rocket League community is one of the most vibrant ones out there and we look forward to not only competing, but also to bring the fans entertainment on a new level.”

The Aether Rocket League lineup came together in March 2021 and has only impressed fans since. The team qualified for all athree RLCS Season X - Spring: EU regional Events. After a relatively poor showing in the second event, Aether came out strong in the last one. The RLCS Season X Spring: EU Regional event 3 saw Aether finish second losing to Guild Esports in the finals. The team remained undefeated till the grand finals with wins over teams like Solary, Dignitas and Galaxy Racer.

SK gaming’s Rocket League lineup now features Dylan ‘eekso’ Pickering, Damian ‘Tox’ Schäfer and Maurice ‘Yukeo’ Weihs. The team came together after all three players found themselves outside of an active roster. The team's impressive results caught the eye of SK Gaming and the rest is history. The organization last fielded a Rocket League team in 2016 before the start of the RLCS. 

Rocket League fans can see SK Gaming in action at the RLCS Season X - Spring: European Major. The tournament takes place over 2 days and has a $100,000 prize pool featuring the best teams from Europe in competition.
