Beckwith Park (Snowy) has been taken off rotation to fix the persistent visibility issues with the map.
The Rocket League update 2.47 is one of the final updates of the year and released today. The new update sees one map being removed from the pool in addition to multiple bug fixes. Some much-needed quality-of-life improvements will significantly improve the player experience.
What’s new in the Rocket League v2.47 release?
A long-persisted problem with Beckwith Park (Snowy) is now in the developers’ eyes as they work on a fix. To ensure it does not hamper the player experience, the map is no longer in the rotation. The community has been complaining about the map’s visibility issues and constant depth perception problems. There were also visibility issues with the Puck that caused problems specifically for Xbox players.
Xbox players can expect a slew of updates in the near future as Psyonix has confirmed they are working on restoring 120 FPS for the console’s players. Meanwhile, Xbox players should expect to see more consistent FPS after the v2.47 update.
