Three open qualifiers across all Rocket League esports regions lead to the offline matches of the Raleigh Major.
The Rocket League community is pretty excited about the most recent competitive announcement: the monthly Cash Cups. At first sight, these tournaments have little connection to the primary esports league, Rocket League Championship Series 2 (RLCS) 2025 and its Split 2 — which starts at the end of April. On the other hand, smaller events should shake the somewhat settled scene, at least potentially.
The open qualifiers of Split 1 and the Birmingham Major itself proved a drastic dominance of some teams: on the regional and international levels. Sure, unexpected results occurred back then, but they were mainly in Open 3, when the leaders had already qualified for the Major 1.
With RLCS 2025 Split 2, everyone expects big upsets to make the show spicier — we kind of hope for them. Take a look at the detailed schedule for the second hal of the Rocket League esports season! Can the favorites and regional underdogs really surprise us this time?
RLCS 2025 Split 2 schedule
The competition takes place in seven regions. With the current Rocket League tournament schedule, some regions have their matches on the same day, while others play within a week gap.
Like in RLCS 2025 Split 1, each Open event consists of a few stages.
- Double Elimination and Swiss Stage kick off the qualifiers. From a huge mass of participating teams, only 16 remain to advance further.
- Group Stage and Playoffs are the main tournament parts. The best teams in each region battle for the standing points.
Sure, these are only qualifiers, but the stakes are still high: qualification for the Raleigh Major RLCS 2025 that takes place from June 26 to June 29. Landing high in the Playoffs is crucial to be on the top of the regional leaderboards.

Roster changes before Split 2
Unlike the inter-season period, the transfer window between Splits 1 and 2 did not bring us major roster changes.
The most notable shift happened in Gen.G Mobil1 Racing. The winners of NA Open 3 released Slater “Retals” Thomas. The former captain of Gen.G is now in Shopify Rebellion. He was replaced with Justin “jstn.” Morales, who was a Shopify Rebellion player before.
The tournaments of RLCS 2025 Split 2 should demonstrate whether this was a good move.
There is a gap in the official Rocket League esports schedule after the Raleigh Major. The RLCS 2025 World Championship is from Sept. 9 to Sept. 14. However, the game has a tournament at the Esports World Cup 2025, from Aug. 14 to Aug. 17.
Last year, Team BDS won the Esports World Cup 2024 event and the World Champions title. That roster is in different teams now, which makes the biggest offline tournaments especially interesting.
