The RLCS 2022-23 Winter Open has concluded for North America, Middle East & North Africa, and Oceania regions. Here are the winners and the RLCS Standings for all three regions.
The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Winter Split is completely done with Winter Open, the first qualifier of the split. North America (NA), Middle East & North Africa (MENA), and Oceania (OCE) regions have wrapped up the last of the Winter Open which was ongoing from Feb. 2-5.
Champions have finally been crowned for the three regions. We have the last Fall Major champion, Gen.G Mobil1 Racing as the winner of the RLCS NA Winter Open. Team Falcons is still conquering the MENA region, getting the crown for the RLCS MENA Winter Open. On the other side of the world, Oceania just lifted a new champion, Ground Zero Gaming.

The results from the Winter Open will be used to determine rankings for the upcoming RLCS Winter Major in April as well as the RLCS World Championship in August.

Gen.G Mobil1 Racing continues dominance over the NA region
Gen.G Mobil1 Racing is definitely one of the strongest Rocket League teams this season. With their exceptional performance last Fall Split leading up to their victory in Fall Major, it is no surprise they come into the Winter season with burning hunger.
In the RLCS NA Winter Open, they went through the group stage with one loss against Complexity Gaming. Gen.G then has to go through the playoffs bracket, winning against Akrew with a 3:1 score and Furia Esports with a 4:1 score. They then beat G2 Esports convincingly in the semifinals with a 4:0 sweep. Gen.G met Complexity Gaming in the grand final and came out as the champion of the Winter Open, beating Complexity Gaming in an intense match with a score of 4:1.

Gen.G Mobil1 Racing stays on top of the overall RLCS NA Ranking at 110 points. They are also currently at the top of the NA Winter Ranking, working their way to get the invites to the RLCS Winter Major.

Team Falcons still soaring high in the MENA sky
The Saudi Arabian team has not lost their touch as they take another championship under their belt. In the last RLCS Fall Split, Team Falcons falter a bit in the first qualifier, landing them in second place. They took huge offense for failing to claim the first crown and went on to win the MENA Fall Cup and Fall Invitational.
In the RLCS MENA Winter Open, they went through the group stage smoothly with two matches of a clean sweep and one win over a forfeited match. The team then faced Arrows in the quarterfinal and won with a 4:1 score. Meeting team Cola in the semifinal was taxing for Team Falcons but they maintained their composure and won with a 4:3 score. Team Falcons met Rule One in the grand final and convincingly take them down with a clean sweep.

In the overall RLCS MENA Ranking, Team Falcons stays at the top of the list with 88 points. They are also currently number one in the RLCS MENA Winter Ranking at 23 points, aiming for invites to the RLCS Winter Major in San Diego.
Ground Zero Gaming, the new OCE champion
We have always seen either PWR or Pioneers in the grand finals of the RLCS Oceanian region. This time, we have a newly-shuffled Ground Zero Gaming as the OCE Winter Open champion. They have always been the top four in the last RLCS Fall Split but with the new roster of Josh "kaka" Watters, Ezequiel "Fiberr" Aranda-Lovito, and Lachlan "Superlachie" Gordon, they are here to take over the Ocenian region.
The Australian team started RLCS OCE Winter Open with a 3:0 score for all three of the group-stage matches. They made a convincing run against Hustle g and the him police, taking a clean sweep before landing them a place in the grand final against Pioneers. Pioneers, who was beaten by Ground Zero Gaming in the group stage, was no match for the champion. Ground Zero Gaming took the game confidently with a 4:1 score.

Ground Zero Gaming climbed to fourth place on the overall RLCS OCE Ranking with 26 points. They are currently first in the OCE Winter Ranking, securing their invites to the Winter Major.
