Rocket League is coming to Mobile phones bringing the joy of playing soccer with cars to the small screen. Psyonix has announced it is developing Rocket League Sideswipe for iOS and Android platforms.
What is Rocket League sideswipe?
Rocket League sideswipe is Psyonix’s attempt at bringing the core Rocket League gameplay to mobile devices.
We're hard at work on this free mobile game for iOS and Android that takes the core, competitive gameplay of Rocket League and reimagines it for a mobile device. In Rocket League Sideswipe, players compete from a new perspective on the field in 1v1 or 2v2 matches. Games will be fast-paced, 2-minute matches that you can play with friends near or far thanks to online play.
Sideswipe matches will be smaller with 1v1 and 2v2 match formats. Pysonix promises slightly different controls, customized for mobile phones. At the same time, the game promises to have a higher skill ceiling via advanced mechanics for higher skilled players. Car customizations and online ranking systems for competitive play are some features that will make their way to the mobile version of Rocket League.
