FaZe Clan takes down NA number one Gen.G Mobil Esports
It was a wonderful day for FaZe Clan as they managed to emerge as the champion of the RLCS Winter Cup. They took down the previous champion Gen.G Mobil1 Racing in an intense grand final that ended with a score of 4:3. This is definitely a better result compared to their last Winter Open appearance where they placed at the 9th-12th place.
FaZe Clan has the Rocket League scene doubting them as they were struggling to find their footing and utilize each other in-game. In this Winter Cup, FaZe Clan appeared to have worked on their teamplay pulling off a dominating display.
Firstkiller was asked in the winner's interview about what helped them win the qualifier. He answered "I think our teamplay. We were using each other a lot more. We weren't just trying to subtle play all over the place. It just shows how good we are if we play as a team."
Gen.G Mobil1 Racing stays on top of the RLCS NA Winter Ranking and was already confirmed to go to the Winter Major. They are followed by Complexity Gaming, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, and Dignitas. There are four slots left to be contested and we will know the complete list of invited teams this coming Winter Invitational.
