Clash of the regions
Only three Rainbow Six Siege esports regions made it to the Playoffs. Asia Pacific teams fail in the Swiss Stage, even if they had good results against the favorites. For example, Dplus defeated FURIA in Round 1, and Weibo won over NiP in Round 2.
North America
Two teams from the North America League (NAL) Stage 2 qualified for the final brackets in Munich.
- M80 are the biggest discovery of this tournament. They advanced after only three rounds, defeating G2, Faze, and Spirit.

- Wildcard lost Round 1 to Secret, but then, they defeated three other opponents. In a way, the team was lucky with these matchups: Spacestation and ENTERPRISE Esports. Wildcard also won over w7m esports, but these opponents are struggling with their performance.

Europe & MENA
As an R6 esports region, the Europe & MENA League (EML) is on the rise at the moment. Three teams are in the Playoffs.
- Team Falcons won over ENTERPRISE Esports, Dplus, and w7m esports to qualify after the first three rounds in the Swiss Stage.

- Team Secret are the R6 Esports World Cup 2025 winners. They won over Wildcard, Team BDS, and Weibo Gaming. Secret lost to M80 in the advancement match of Round 3.

- G2 Esports took the full run in the Swiss Stage: after losing best-of-one (Bo1) matches to M80 and Team BDS. G2 still won over CAG Osaka, Dplus, and w7m esports.

South America
Brazil is now part of the South America League (SAL), which boosts the power of this esports region extremely. Still, two big teams had a rollercoaster of experience in the Munich Major 2025 Swiss Stage. w7m esports, the winners of three Majors and Six Invitational 2024, could not make it.
- FaZe Clan are the Six Invitational 2025 winners. They lost to M80 in Round 2, but FaZe defeated CAG Osaka, Dplus, and Team BDS.

- Ninjas in Pyjamas started the tournament with losses to w7m esports and Weibo Gaming. NiP survived three elimination matches, defeating Spacestation, Shopify Rebellion, and Team BDS.

- FURIA, the winners at RE:L0:AD Rio de Janeiro 2025, lost to Dplus and Shopify Rebellion in the first two rounds. They defeated CAG Osaka, ENTERPRISE Esports, and w7m esports.

State of the game
In the middle of the competitive excitement during the Munich Major Swiss Stage, some pro players expressed their concerns about the game’s state. Specifically, William "Spoit" Löfstedt shared a Save Siege document via his X account.

The game responded, without quoting the document, though.

The suggestions on saving the game initiated a discussion in the community. It is really interesting to watch the promised announcements from the game’s developers.
The next big offline tournament for Rainbow 6 Siege is Six Invitational 2025, from Feb. 2 to Feb. 15. The Munich Major winners earn a direct invite to this event.
