NiP won the Six Invitational 2021 bringing joiy to Brazilian fans.

The Ninjas in Pyjamas won the Six Invitational 2021 after thrilling grand final series against Team Liquid. The Ninjas eventually won the series 3-2 after a dominating performance on Consulate.

With this victory, NiP secures the title of the best Rainbow Six Siege team after failing to secure the title last year. NiP came into the grand finals with a map advantage due to coming from the upper bracket. Team Liquid had already played a Bo3 series in the lower bracket where they eliminated MIBR.

The Ninjas started the grand finals with a victory on Kafe Dostoyevsky. It was a dominant victory for NiP as Team Liquid looked extremely lost on the map. But over the next two maps, Team Liquid bounced back on Chalet and Clubhouse. Chalet was a one-sided match for Team Liquid, but the two teams’ struggle was evident on Clubhouse.

Both teams had a strong attacking side on Clubhouse and the series was extremely close. Even in Overtime, each team won one round each taking it to maximum overtime. Ultimately, Team Liquid took the win and tied the series. NiP already had a one-map advantage and had already secured the Kafe Dostoyevsky win.

It all boiled down to the final map on Consulate, but the series came to an anti-climactic end as NiP was extremely dominant on the final map. A 7-2 victory for the 2020 finalists meant Kamikaze and co were able to lift the trophy.
