FURIA returns to R6
Without an agreement to renew the contract, Felipe "FelipoX" De Lucia and company's team left w7m to sign with FURIA. Winning the Six Invitational was the players' last experience with the organization.
FURIA hires one of the R6 lineups with the most history in the game. In 2023, they won two Majors and the Six Invitational at the beginning of 2024, something that no one has ever done.
In the squad that signs with FURIA, Felipe "nade" Ferreira will represent the organization that his twin brother Thiago "handyy" Ferreira represented in 2022.
Despite the previously mentioned competition, FURIA was better in the race for the Brazilian roster.
Gustavo "Herdsz" Herdina, in a statement from FURIA, said:
"From the beginning, the way FURIA treated us made us feel like part of a family, with a lot of respect and helpfulness. So it was a mutual interest, as it is a gigantic organization that it is a dream to represent."
Very critical when FURIA left R6, Co-CEO and founder Jaime Pádua left some words on his return:
"Even when we left the game, the community was always very affectionate and asked for our return. When we went to the Six Invitational in Ibirapuera we felt this affection. Seeing how alive and strong the community is in Brazil and the opportunity to hire the best team in the world It didn't make us think twice. Plus, Ubisoft is making the game more attractive to esports teams."
