PMGO 2025, set in Uzbekistan, will be the inaugural international tournament of the year, boasting a total prize pool of $500,000

The PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) 2025 is just around the corner, with teams worldwide securing their spots for the first international tournament in 2025. Held in Uzbekistan, the PMGO 2025 is one of the three international tournaments scheduled this year, followed by the PMWC 2025 to be held in Saudi Arabia and the PMGC 2025 in Thailand.

While the PMGO 2025 prize pool might not be as large as that of the PMWC and PMGC, the PMGO is, as its name suggests, open to all teams, from professional to amateur. The tournament allocates almost half of the participant spots for the open prelim stage. In addition, the prelim stage is strictly devoted to semi-professional and amateur teams, with professional players prohibited from joining.

PMGO 2025 format and prize pool

PMGO 2025 is divided into three stages: Qualifier, Prelims, and Main Event. The Qualifier was held online and was open to all PUBG MOBILE players around the world, with a total of 12 teams qualifying for the Prelims.

On the other hand, as the host country, up to 16 Uzbekistan teams may participate in the Qualifier Finals, with the Top 1 team advancing directly to the Main Event, while the ranked 2-5 teams advance to the Prelims. The Prelims will see the Top 7 teams advancing to the Main Event.

A total of six matches will be played during the Qualifier Finals, followed by twelve Prelims matches and twelve Main Event matches. All matches will use the official PUBG MOBILE Global Esports point system, with one point for every elimination and additional points based on the team’s final placement during the match: 10 points for #1, 6 points for #2, 5 points for #3, 4 points for #4, 3 points for #5, 2 points for #6, 1 point for #7-8, and 0 points for #9-16.

The total prize pool of USD $500,000 will be allocated to participants based on their final standings, as well as individual awards. The tournament’s results will also be considered for the next PUBG MOBILE Power Ranking, which will be updated in late April 2025.

PMGO 2025 will be held offline for five days from April 9 to 13, 2025.
