What’s happening in September 2024 in Pokémon GO?
September 2024 has some really exciting events in Pokémon GO. We have the kick off of the new season, Pokémon GO Max Out, with several events based around new content. Additionally we get our first ever Max Battles, bringing all new Dynamax Pokémon to the game. The action even sees Zacian return to Pokémon GO Raids. This is going to be a great month.
So, what should you be looking out for in Pokémon GO in September 2024?
Pokémon GO September 2024 events
September 2024 will see a wide array of Pokémon GO events. Here are the dates for your calendars this month:

September 2024 brings several exciting Pokémon GO events. We've got the Pokémon GO Community Day for Ponyta a well as the always enjoyable Psychic Spectacular. Legendary Heroes, while we don't have details yet, would seem to focus on both Zacian and Zamazenta's return to the game.
September 2024 Max Battles
New for Pokémon GO Max Out are Max Battles. These will run from September 10 until October 1. The following Pokémon will be in Max Battles:
- Dynamax Bulbasaur
- Dynamax Charmander
- Dynamax Squirtle
- Dynamax Skwovet
- Dynamax Wooloo
Perhaps even more excitingly, all of these Pokémon can be shiny after your Max Battle. What Pokémon would you like to see in Max Battles next?

The next Pokémon GO season, Max Out, is bringing Zacian, with a shiny version, back to the game. Zamazenta will follow in early October. We're also getting Kyogre and Groudon in standard raids. A very exciting rotation for September in Pokémon GO.

Other highlights
As always, there will be a range of Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours in September 2024. Notably, the Pokémon featured this month includes Machop, which has some great PvP use next season. There is also a great chance to get a shiny Wooloo.
