Pokémon GO is celebrating the Horizons Series and Tinkatink is joining us for the party!
Pokémon GO is holding a celebration for the release of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2 later this month. As part of the event, we are getting the debut of Tinkatink and its evolutions into the game. Additionally, there are some exciting costumed Pokémon, including the return of Captain Hat Pikachu.
The event also carries some exciting bonuses which includes boosted shiny odds on the avaliable costumed Pokémon and the chance to take some unique event snapshots.
Here are all the details of what you can look forward to in the event.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in Pokémon GO
The Pokémon GO Horizons Celebration event takes place from Wednesday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m until Tuesday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m. That gives you a pretty good amount of time to dive into all the events offering.
Tinkatink debuts in Pokémon GO
The most exciting event feature is that Tinkatink is coming to Pokémon GO. It releases alongside its two evolutions, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton. It will cost you 25 candy to evolve Tinkatink and then 100 candy to evolve Tinkatuff. This Pokémon cannot be shiny yet.
There is an additional debut too. For the first time in Pokémon GO, Floragato wearing a hat with Liko's pin will be avaliable in the game. This Pokémon will be avaliable as a shiny, so good luck being one of the firsto add this to your collection.
Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the event:
- Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat and Shiny Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.
Horizons Celebration brings special 7 km Eggs in Pokémon GO
The following Pokémon will be in 7 km Eggs during the event. This is the only way to get Tinkatink during the event, so save some incubators!

One-Star Raids:
- Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat
- Chansey
- Rockruff
Three-Star Raids:
- Charizard
- Alolan Muk
- Metagross
- Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin
The Three-Star Raids are especially exciting, with Charizard and Metagross both being powerful Pokémon. Charizard has two Mega Evolutions and Metagross should have a mega form soon. Then, Floragato is the newest costumed shiny in the game.
Other event details
The Pokémon GO Horizons Celebration will also feature event-themed Field Research, which can lead to an encounter with Cap's Hat Pikachu. Additionally there will be a free Timed Research and a $4.99 Paid Timed Research that has encounters with Tinkatink and other bonuses including this avatar pose.
