Here is our first look at Pokémon Winds and Waves.

Our first official look at Pokémon Winds & Waves (Gen 10)

Gen 10 has officially been revealed, after months of leaks surfacing online. In Pokémon‘s most recent Presents, which celebrated the franchise’s 30th anniversary, we were given an official look at Pokémon Winds and Waves, which marks the 10th generation in the franchise.

And let’s just say that these games look absolutely stunning.

It would seem as if Pokémon has made that step in graphics and world-building that many have been begging for for years. Watch the official launch trailer below:

Release date

While we do not have an official release date, Pokémon did announce that Winds and Waves will be released sometime in 2027. However, that’s an entire year-long timeline, meaning it could be released anywhere from January to December. Let’s hope it’s on the earlier side of the year, so we do not have to wait almost two years for the games to release.

A new massive world to explore

Pokémon is giving us a new region, similar to Alola, as Winds and Waves looks to take place on a series of tropical islands. While the trailer mainly just gave us a look at the different biomes, including a jungle and open sea, we also got to see some of the Pokémon included.

We got a look at the three new starters, Browt, Pombon and Gecqua, while also seeing some classic Pokémon such as Wailmer and Tropius, which are both Gen 3 Pokémon.

Pokémon Winds and Waves is just beyond the horizon. Are you excited?
