What’s coming in the next season of Pokémon GO?

The next season of Pokémon GO will be called Max Out. This season will be all about the Galar Region, and looks like it will bring one of the biggest shake ups to to the game in several years.

There are so many features to look forward to next season. Pokémon GO Max Out starts on September 3, at 10am local time.

While we don't yet have the official season rundown, we are starting to get teasers and little bits of information from Niantic. Here's everything we know so far.

Pokémon GO Max Out will introduce Dynamax and Gigantamax to the game

The biggest feature coming during Max Out is Dynamax and Gigantamax. These features were recently confirmed to be coming next season via a teaser posted after the Pokémon World Championships concluded.

These two features are among the most requested to come to the game, with fans keen to reunite with the mechanic that debuted in Sword and Shield.

We know that Dynamax in Pokémon GO will feature the special moves associated with the Pokémon. In addition there will be Power Spots on the map to battle these Pokémon. You'll need Max Particles to Dynamax a Pokémon.

Morpeko will debut, as will form changes

Also coming to Pokémon GO during Max Out will be Morpeko. This Pokémon will release into the game with both its Full Belly and Hangry modes avaliable. This Pokémon debut will be the first time a Pokémon can use a move to change form mid battle.

It seems this could pave the way for other Pokémon like Mimyku and Zen Form Darmanitan to come to the game in the near future.

Pokémon GO Max Out will focus on Galar Region

The Galar Region got passed over in favour of the Paldea Region in Pokémon GO. At the moment, only 20 of 112 Galar Pokémon are currently released into the game. Most of these are Regional Variants, like Galarian Darmanitan and Galarian Stunfisk. The rest are almost all legendary Pokémon.

You should expect to see a lot more debuts beyond Morpeko in Pokémon GO Max Out. There are so many debuts to come. It's been a while since we had a lot of debuts into the game. Most Shared Skies debuts have been locked behind Eggs or Research. With so many to come, expect a real shakeup of spawns in Pokémon GO next season.

Galar Starters confirmed for Pokémon GO Max Out

It's been a long time coming, but a teaser has officially confirmed that we will be getting the Galar starter Pokémon in Max Out.

This teaser also shows a huge Dynamaxed Pokémon, but who is it?

Zacian and Zamazenta to return - but which form?

One thing we do already have in Pokémon GO from the Galar region is legendaries. We already have seen the debut of Pokémon like Zacian, Zamazenta, Eturnatus and mythical Zarude.

However, we haven't seen Zacian and Zamazenta in Pokémon GO since August 2022. We also haven't seen their Hero of many Battles forms in the game. A trailer has now confirmed the return of these legendary Pokémon this season. But, with new form changes coming to the game, that raises questions on if we will see the Hero of many Battles forms. It was expected they would release as separate Pokémon, but now they could come through special moves like Morpeko. We are also yet to see the shiny version of either of these two legendaries.

Overall, there is a lot of exciting content to come during Pokémon GO Max Out. Stay tuned for more details on the next Pokémon GO season.
