The Battle Pass concept is coming to Pokémon GO with the new Tour Pass.
Pokémon GO's Unova Tour: Global is bringing the Tour Pass to the game. This ticket is the Pokémon GO answer to a Battle Pass, and will provide Trainers a huge range of bonuses.
We've never seen anything like this in Pokémon GO before, and there is a lot of information to get through. Crucially, there are some major potential bonuses to get your hands on if you choose to get the Tour Pass.
So, here is everything announced about the Pokémon GO Tour Pass today, including cost, rewards and more.
Pokémon GO Tour Pass brings battle pass format to the game
The Tour Pass will be avaliable in Pokémon GO from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, at 6:00 p.m. local time.
There are two versions of the pass avaliable to buy:
- Tour Pass (Free)
- Tour Pass Deluxe ($14.99 or local equivalent)
All Trainers will get the Tour Pass for free, and then will have the option to pay for the Deluxe upgrade. There is also a Deluxe Pass bundle, which will include the first 10 levels. This costs $19.99 and will give you a head-start on your progress.
The Deluxe Tour Pass will have all the rewards from the free Tour Pass, as well as the Deluxe rewards too. You can upgrade to a Tour Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked tiers.
How does the Tour Pass work?
The Tour Pass and Deluxe pass will work the same way, running as identical tracks. The Pass will require you to collect Tour Points in order to reach each level. Everyone will kick off at level one, and be able to claim the GO Tour 2025 Tee avatar item.
As you collect Tour Points, your Pokémon GO Tour Pass will level up and the rewards will get progressively bigger. There are two ways to earn Tour Points in Pokémon GO:
- In-game activities including
- Catching Pokémon
- Completing Raids
- Hatching Eggs
- Completing brand new Pass Tasks
Pass Tasks will award more points than in-game activities. These are described as quick, event-themed tasks. Pass Tasks refresh daily from Monday Feb. 24 until Friday, Feb. 28 in the build-up to the Global GO Tour: Unova.
Then, during the Global Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, Pass Tasks will refresh every hour from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time each day.
