Get ready for Eternatus to arrive in Pokémon GO.
Niantic have confirmed all the details for the upcoming Max Finale event in Pokémon GO. This event will bring Eternatus to Pokémon GO for the first time.
The main event takes place across August 23 and 24, running from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day. However, we also now know that there will be a Max Finale GO Pass running the entire week before during the Dark Skies event as well as the return of all previously featured Dynamax Pokémon.
Here's all the details on what to expect with the debut of Eternatus in Pokémon GO.

Eternatus coming to Pokémon GO
Eternatus has been long requested to come to Pokémon GO ever since the Max Battle system debuted. Trainers can take on Eternatus in 6-star Max Battles across Saturday August 23 and Sunday August 24, alongside all other Gigantamax Pokémon in the game.
However, Trainers will be limited to one Enernatus total. This will be the one encounter from the GO Pass: Max Finale. Instead, large amounts of Enernatus Candy and Candy XL will be rewarded instead.
Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta return
There will also be Five-Star Raids featuring the return of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta. These Pokémon are very helpful in Max Battles, and these Raids will award the Crowned Energy. In addition, the GO Pass: Max Finale will enhance the power of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, so Trainers can more quickly slash and bash their way through Max Battles and progress even faster through the GO Pass.

Event bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the event:
- Additional Power Spots will be active.
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
- Max Particle collection limit will increase.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy XL chance from catching Pokémon.
There will also be special event themed backgrounds avaliable.
