Pokémon GO announce a series of global GO Fest themed events

Get ready for three super exciting Pokémon GO events this summer.

Niantic have announced a series of events that will run in Pokémon GO alongside the three in-person GO Fest events this summer. These events all bring a Gigantamax debuts, select boosted shiny odds and hatch bonuses. This gives Trainers a great chance to warm up ahead of Global GO Fest and enjoy some Pokémon GO action while Trainers are in Osaka, New Jersey or Paris this summer.

Here's everything you need to know about the three events this summer.

All three Pokémon GO Fest themed events

Serene Retreat

The first event is Serene Retreat, which runs from Friday, May 30, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

This event will feature Snorlax, Chimecho and Furfrou, as well as increased odds to encounter or hatch Shiny Morelull and Shiny Munna. The Gigantamax debut will be Gigantamax Rillaboom, which appears in six-star Max Battles from Saturday, May 31, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time.

Event bonuses are:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance
  • 1.5× Hatch XP
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Increased chance to hatch Shiny Munna and encounter Shiny Munna in research task rewards
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Morelull in the wild and in research task rewards

Trainers with a Serene Retreat ticket will also receive the following bonus for the duration of the event.

  • 1.5× Hatch Stardust

Instrumental Wonders

The second of the Pokémon GO Fest adjacent events is Instrumental Wonders. This will run from Saturday, June 7, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Chimecho returns, alongside Beldum, Falinks and more. There are boosted shiny odds for Ferroseed and Falinks.

The Gigantamax debut will be Cinderace, which will be in six-star Max Battles from Saturday, June 7, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time.

The event bonuses are:

  • Additional 5,000 XP awarded for successful raids
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Ferroseed and Shiny Falinks

Trainers with an Instrumental Wonders ticket will also receive the following bonus for the duration of the event.

  • 2× Raid Stardust

Phantom Ruins

The third and final of these Pokémon GO events, running alongside GO Fest Paris, is Phantom Ruins. This event runs from Saturday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Sableye joins Drilbur, Phantump and Rhyhorn as some of the featured Pokémon. The Gigantamax debut will be Inteleon, which is in six-star Max Battles once again over the weekend, appearing from Saturday, June 14, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time.

The event bonuses are:

  • Incense will attract certain Pokémon more frequently
  • 2× Catch XP
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Gothita and Shiny Phantump

Trainers with a Phantom Ruins ticket will also receive the following bonus for the duration of the event.

  • 2× Catch Stardust

All three of these events look super exciting - a great way to not feel too much FOMO this summer if you aren't attending one of the in-person events.
