Mega Lucario will be returning to Pokémon GO from March 4 until March 13 in Mega Raids.

This is the first chance for you to get your hands on a Mega Lucario in Pokémon GO since it debuted during Lucario Mega Raid Day. Mega Lucario is a must-grab Pokémon. It is the best Fighting-type Pokémon in the game, and has a double-typing which is excellent for Mega Evolution candy and XP bonuses too.

Here is everything you need to know before taking on Mega Lucario in Pokémon GO.

Mega Lucario has a weakness to Fighting, Fire and Ground-type attacks. It has a range of resistances, including a double resistance to Bug, Poison and Rock-type attacks. Its single resistances are to Dark, Dragon, Grass, Ice, Normal and Steel-type moves.

Thankfully, a lot of the best Mega Lucario counters in Pokémon GO have been in Raids over the last year. Mega Heracross, Heatran, Therian Landorus, Blacephalon, Mega Rayquaza and Mega Y Charizard have all featured in events. Primal Groudon, the best Mega Lucario counter, also has appeared a few times, with Groudon featuring during the GO Wild Area event.

This means that you should be able to get a team together with some good Mega Lucario counters to take on this Raid.

Yes, Lucario can be shiny in Pokémon GO after your Raid.

Mega Evolutions to get you more Lucario candy in Pokémon GO

Mega Evolutions can help you get more candy and XL candy with every catch. Having a mega level 3 active that boosts candy for Fighting and Steel-types will give you an extra 2 candy per catch, as well as a 25% bonus to your XL candy chance.

Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get more Lucario candy in Pokémon GO:

  • Heracross
  • Blaziken
  • Medicham
  • Lopunny
  • Steelix
  • Scizor
  • Aggron

Notably, thanks to Mega Lucario’s Fighting-type weakness in Pokémon GO, some of these Mega Pokémon are also good counters to use in the Raid. We highly suggest using Mega Heracross or Mega Blaziken during this Raid. Pick whichever one you have at Mega Level 3.

How many trainers do I need to beat Mega Lucario in Pokémon GO?

Mega Lucario isn’t a very high CP Pokémon. You should be able to take down Mega Lucario with two Trainers in Pokémon GO. To do so, you’ll need good counters and ideally be using Party Play.

For lower level trainers, or just to be safe, aim for a group of about four trainers. Don’t forget that the faster you complete a Mega Raid in Pokémon GO, the more Mega Energy you get afterwards.

What is the Lucario Pokémon GO 100% IV hndo CP?

After a Mega Raid, you encounter the standard version of the Mega Pokémon. That means after the Raid you will encounter Lucario. Here are the CP values to look out for to know you have a 100% IV hundo Lucario after the Raid:

Snowy weather is rare in Pokémon GO in a lot of the world at this time of year, so if you want a higher CP Lucario you’ll need to hope for Cloudy weather during a Mega Lucario Raid. However, do be careful that this will boost Mega Lucario’s Fighting-type moves. Although, it will also boost your own Fighting-type Pokémon too.
