Another unreleased Mega enters Pokémon GO, and this time, it’s the Eruption Pokémon!
September 2025 remains a Mega-oriented month for Pokémon GO, as after Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt finally takes its turn as the featured Raid Day Pokémon for the first time.
Calling volcano craters its home, Camerupt can also build up magma in its body, and the volcanoes on its back can erupt every 10 years or whenever it becomes angry. When Camerupt mega evolves, its volcanoes turn into a single taller volcano with lava coming out of it.

Mega Camerupt Raid Day in Pokémon GO
The Mega Camerupt Raid Day is scheduled to start on September 28, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. of local time.
Event bonuses
Throughout this three-hour event, participants can benefit from the following bonuses:
- The limit for using Remote Raid Passes is increased to 20. This bonus will take effect from September 27, 5 p.m. to September 28, 8 p.m. PDT.
- Get five additional Raid Passes in addition to the usual free one per day. Keep on spinning Gym Photo Discs to get them!
- Better odds of encountering Shiny Camerupt after raids.
XP Celebration Event extra bonuses
Mega Camerupt Raid Day will also take place within the XP Celebration Event’s duration. Participants will receive these additional bonuses:
- Double XP from performing Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
- +3k XP from completing raids.
- +3k XP from completing Max Battles.
Mega Camerupt’s featured attack
This Raid Day won’t have any featured attack for Mega Camerupt.
Mega Camerupt Raid Day Pokémon GO Event Ticket
Buying a $5 (or its equivalent in your local currency) ticket at the Pokémon GO Store will give you more bonuses:
- Take eight more Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs. Overall, you’ll get at least 14 chances to fight in Mega Camerupt raids.
- Higher odds of getting Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles.
- 50% more XP from clearing Raid Battles.
- Double Stardust rewards from clearing Raid Battles.
