Pokémon fans can now get their favorite Pokémon Legends: Z-A starter as an Alpha Pokémon. Here is how.

Pokémon has just begun distributing Alpha starters through Pokémon HOME for those who have Pokémon Legends: Z-A. So, how does someone get an Alpha starter through Pokémon HOME? Here is a guide.

How to get a Pokémon Legends: Z-A Alpha starter in Pokémon HOME

Pokémon HOME is the central database where players can store Pokémon for other games. This means you can send a Pokémon from one game to HOME just to transfer it to another game. This is a great way to complete the Pokédex or add powerful Pokémon to your team earlier on in a game.

And now, Pokémon HOME is giving players Alpha Pokémon, specifically an Alpha Totodile, an Alpha Chikorita and an Alpha Tepig.

For those who have Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you will be able to turn your starter Pokémon into an Alpha, which will make your starter larger and have higher stats.

So, to get the Alpha starters, submit them to Pokémon HOME. Once they have been added to HOME, go to Mystery Gifts within HOME on mobile and claim your Alpha version of them.

What is Pokémon HOME?

Pokémon HOME is a database where players can keep their Pokémon from other games. However, once you send a Pokémon from one game to HOME, you are not able to send it back to that specific game. Make sure you always pick wisely when moving your Pokémon to HOME.

With Pokémon Champions about to release, players are preparing their HOME’s with the best Pokémon they have in hopes of creating a powerful enough team to take on everyone in competitive. We are about to see the new wave of competitive Pokémon with Champions, and HOME will play a huge role in players assembling their teams.
