Goomy Pokémon GO Community Day: Tips, tricks & 100% IV

The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Goomy. This will provide Pokémon GO Trainers a chance to grab a Shiny Goomy and get a Goodra with exclusive move, Thunder Punch.

Goomy Community Day takes place Sunday, June 9 from 1400-1700 local time.

We've all been waiting for this Pokémon GO Community Day since Shiny Goomy was released last summer. A Dragon-type Shiny that was released the previous GO Fest is always June's Pokémon GO Community Day.

We have the best possible bonuses for this Community Day, the Sun should (hopefully!) be out and Goomy has a great Shiny. So, more than ever this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.

The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Goomy Community Day in Pokémon GO.

There will also be a $1 Research Ticket, Showcases and special item-bundles in the Pokémon GO Store.

During the event times, Goomy will be appearing much more frequently in the wild. You'll also have a increased chance of catching a Shiny Goomy.

There will also be a featured move for evolving Goomy. Any Sliggoo evolved into Goodra during Goomy Pokémon GO Community Day will learn Thunder Punch, an Electric-type move. If you have any Goodra already, the only way they can learn this move is through an Elite TM.

The odds of encountering a shiny Goomy is about 1 in 25 during this Goomy Pokémon GO Community Day.

The following table shows the highest CP a Goomy can be at every level. In the wild, Goomy can be Level 1 to Level 30, and if it is Windy weather, Level 6 to Level 35. A Goomy at the maximum CP value would be a 100% IV Pokémon.

Here are the CP values that will show you have a 100% IV Goomy.

From Research Tasks including the $1 Ticket, the Goomy 100% IV is 418 CP.

Goomy Community Day will add Thunder Punch as a Charged Attack for Goodra. This move is a new typing for Goodra , with it having no Electric-type moves yet.

However, Goodra isn't the best Pokémon in the Dragon-type category and isn't an Electric-type. It is yet to be seen just how impactful this move will be.

This Goomy Pokémon GO Community Day is really exciting. Goomy is a fun Pokémon, with a really nice Shiny most Trainers probably don't already have. However, on top of a great featured Pokémon we also have the best possible set of event bonuses.

Stardust is the single most important resource in Pokémon GO. 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon should not be overlooked. Throw on a Star Piece and thats 4.5x Stardust per catch! With a Star Piece on, you can also hatch some 12km Eggs and farm even more Stardust that way. Goomy Pokémon GO Community Day is a great way to grab much needed Stardust.

We also have extra Candy and Candy XL for catching Pokémon during this event. But, you can boost that up even further by using a Dragon-type Mega Level 3 Mega Pokémon.
