The next Gigantamax Pokémon to come to Pokémon GO will be Gigantamax Kingler. It will debut during a special Max Battle Day. This will be the seventh Gigantamax Pokémon to release in the game, following the most recent debut of Lapras.
Here are all the details about the upcoming Max Battle Day, so you can get prepared in Pokémon GO.
Gigantamax Kingler Pokémon GO Max Battle Day
Gigantamax Kingler will appear in six-star Max Battles on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The Gigantamax Kingler you encounter can be shiny in Pokémon GO.
Max Battle Day event bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during the Max Battle Day:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spot
In addition, there will be the following bonuses active from 12:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the event day of Feb. 1.
- 2× Max Particles from exploring
- 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles
However, please note that for these bonuses to apply, Trainers must first have collected all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu.

Gigantamax Kingler Pokémon GO Event Ticket
There will be an event ticket for Trainers wanting to get even more out of the Max Battle Day. The ticket will cost $5 (or local pricing equivalent) and will grant bonuses as well as event-exclusive Timed Research.
The Timed Research rewards include the following:
- 1 Max Mushroom
- 25,000 XP
Then during the Gigantamax Kingler Pokémon GO Max Battle Day, you will get the following additional bonuses:
- 2× XP from Max Battles
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600
The Timed Research will be effective on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. So, make sure you play during the Max Battle Day if you purchase the ticket. Thanks to the raised Max Particle collection limit this ticket is probably value for money if you have the trainers to do multiple battles.
