The best time of the year is almost here! Summer Games return to Overwatch 2 in Season 18, kicking off this September.

Summer Games are already a tradition in Overwatch 2, and 2025 would not be the same without them. So, Blizzard Entertainment just announced the comeback of the Summer Games in Season 18. However, we are going to have a few surprises this time. Let's dive into it!

Summer Games 2025

Summer Games will come back to Overwatch 2 during Season 18. This time, the event is returning with a slick new POV and a few extra tricks. Lucio Ball and Lucio Ball Remix will switch to third person for the first time, while the high-flying Winston Volleyball returns to rally your squad on the court. You can earn a new summer-colored World Cup Lucio skin and other rewards by just logging in and playing the event.

Currently, we don’t have a preview of the Summer Games 2025 event, but we will provide updates on all the rewards soon. The event will take place from Sept. 2 to Sept. 15, so be sure not to miss your chance to play and earn all the rewards!

When does Overwatch 2 Season 18 start?

Overwatch 2’s new season arrives on Aug. 26 with launch times varying by region. Season 18 is expected to go live at 11 a.m. PT / 8 p.m. CEST.
