Here’s what you need to know about the first live OWCS esports event of the year.
The Champions Clash 2025 event for the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) circuit draws near. This event is the culmination of OWCS Season 1 and the first live one of the year. Read on for the OWCS Champions Clash 2025 details.

OWCS Champions Clash 2025 schedule
OWCS Champions Clash 2025 will kick off on April 18 at 1 p.m. local time in China at the Hangzhou Esports Center. A total of eight teams will duke it out under a double-elimination bracket, and while the upper bracket's quarterfinals will be first-to-two (Ft2), the grand finals will be first-to-there (Ft3). The winner of this tournament will be determined on April 20, and that team will get the bulk of the crowdfunded prize pool.

This esports tournament will also feature hero bans and map voting. At the time of writing this article, the hero bans and map voting features aren't live in regular Overwatch 2. However, fans will get to see the impact of them during Champions Clash 2025.

The participating teams will be NTMR, Spacestation Gaming, Virtus.pro, Al Qadsiah, Once Again, Team CC, Team Falcons, and Crazy Raccoon.
In North America (NA), NTMR claimed the top seed after a six-map win over Spacestation Gaming. Meanwhile, Virtus.pro went undefeated in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. However, Al Qadsiah did put up quite a challenge. As for OWCS Asia, 2024 world champions Team Falcons earned the top seed after an intense match against Crazy Raccoon in another six-map battle.
Which Overwatch 2 esports team will take home the gold in OWCS Champions Clash 2025? Only time will tell. Fans will be able to watch all of the esports action on Twitch.

As for those attending the event in person, Blizzard revealed in a post that they'll be able to get all of the above viewership incentives plus the OWCS Hangzhou 2025 Jiayou spray, OWCS Hangzhou 2025 Su Di Bridge name card, Overwatch 2 merchandise, the Opera Mask player icon, and more.

As mentioned earlier, Champions Clash 2025 will be the first of three live OWCS esports events this year. The next event, the Midseason Championship, will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Then, the OWCS World Finals 2025 will be held at DreamHack Stockholm in Sweden.
