Vendetta is Overwatch 2’s first-ever melee damage hero.
Blizzard Entertainment just revealed the official details of Vendetta's kit in Overwatch 2. The reveal also arrived with a brand-new trailer. This time around, it's all about her gameplay. Read on for all of Vendetta abilities plus a first look at how she works in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 Vendetta abilities
In Overwatch 2, Vendetta is a damage (DPS) hero who wields a greatsword. Palatine Fang performs combo swings while Warding Stance is used for blocking. Vendetta abilities are Soaring Slice, Whirlwind Dash, and Projected Edge as well, giving her good mobility and offensive pressure. Meanwhile, her passive is Onslaught, which increases her movement and attack speed when she strikes enemies. As for her ultimate, it's Sundering Blade. This move is a powerful cleave that cuts through most defenses.

Overwatch 2 Vendetta perks
In terms of Vendetta's Overwatch 2 perks, players can first choose from Siphoning Strike and Relentless. Then, later in a match, players can choose between Swift Vengeance and Raging Storm.

Vendetta is a DPS hero in Overwatch 2
According to an email sent to esports.gg on Nov. 17, Vendetta is an Italian damage hero. This was confirmed once again in another email sent to esports.gg on Nov. 20 plus the video description of Vendetta's official gameplay trailer.

Overwatch 2 Vendetta gameplay trailer
Here is the official gameplay trailer for Vendetta as well. Blizzard Entertainment released this a few days after her hero trailer. The gameplay trailer goes over her great mobility and effectiveness in close-range combat. It also shows off her Whirlwind Dash, Soaring Slice, and Projected Edge abilities. These are all improved by her Onslaught passive. Vendetta's Sundering Blade ultimate also gets the spotlight in a faceoff against Junker Queen!
Overwatch 2 Hero 45 release date and trial
Vendetta's release date is Dec. 9, which is also the start of Overwatch 2 Season 20. Ahead of this, however, players can participate in her limited-time hero trial between Nov. 26 and Dec. 1. Simply log in to Overwatch 2 to test her out.
