Here’s a first look at Wuyang’s kit in Overwatch 2.
According to reports, there's a new Overwatch 2 survey going around that includes a first look at Wuyang's kit. As Hero 44, Wuyang is a support character who wields the power of water. We also know that he's of Chinese descent and has a weapon that's unlike any other in the game. Read on for a glimpse at Wuyang's abilities, ultimate, perks, and more before he arrives in Overwatch 2!
Overwatch 2 hints at Wuyang's abilities and ultimate
On July 24, OWCavalry posted a first look at Wuyang's kit in Overwatch 2. According to the account, the information is from one of Blizzard Entertainment's surveys. The upcoming support hero may wield a weapon called the Xuanwu Staff that can deal damage via a water orb and do passive healing after placing a stream of water on a teammate.
Wuyang's abilities may also end up being Guardian Wave and Rushing Torrent. Guardian Wave can increase the amount of healing that allies receive and knock enemies back. Meanwhile, Rushing Torrent lets Wuyang ride on water for a speed and jump bonus.
As for Wuyang's ultimate, it may be Tidal Blast. According to the first look, this move protects an ally and Wuyang himself with water. This detonates after a short duration, knocks down enemies, and heals the ally for lots of health.

Overwatch 2 Wuyang perks teased
In terms of potential perks, the minor ones are Overflow and Balance. Overflow grants Wuyang more ammo and healing resources while the Rushing Torrent ability is active. Balance, on the other hand, rewards players with more healing for dishing out some damage.
The major perks, meanwhile, are Ebb and Flow plus Falling Rain. Ebb and Flow sounds like it works like Tracer's Recall ability as it rewinds Wuyang to his starting location. However, it does make Wuyang deal less damage. As for Falling Rain, OWCavalry notes that it lets the support hero control three water orbs at the same time. These deal less damage and have a decreased explosion radius.
Overwatch 2 Wuyang trial draws near
OWCavalry's post was met with much excitement from the Overwatch 2 community. A lot of folks expressed their impatience for Wuyang's upcoming hero trial. Meanwhile, others stated that Wuyang will soon become their new main.
