Overwatch 2 Season 9 Champions explained
Over the past few months, the Overwatch 2 team has been hyping up the game's ranked rework. Season 9 now features a rank reset plus changes to the competitive progression system. There's now more transparency than even when it comes to how you can rank up. We've created a guide on how it all works as well.
There's also a lot to uncover with the new gameplay updates. These include increased health pools, projectile size changes, plus new and updated class passives.

Overwatch 2 Season 9 Battle Pass skins
Don't forget about the all-new Battle Pass, either. This season, it's all about the eldritch theme. In addition to the Mythic Moira skin at tier 80, other Season 9 Battle Pass skins include the handsome Survivor: 76, Shadowchild Illari, Rikimaru Ramen Bastion, Tentacle Horror Torbjorn, Cursed Seer Mei, Horror Hog Roadhog, Ringmaster Winston, and Endless Sight Widowmaker.
Overwatch 2 Cosmic Crisis PvE event
A new co-op event is here as well. The Overwatch 2 Cosmic Crisis event involves four players who must escape Ecopoint: Antarctica. The co-op objectives change between playthroughs as well, and each game lets one player determine their team's fate! Cosmic Crisis also features event modifiers starting Feb. 20.
More Season 9 activities and updates
As for other things to note in Season 9, they include the Hero Mastery Gauntlet that lets you team up and defend towers, new Los Muertos weapon skins, Valentine's Day skins, plus a new collaboration. There are also reworks to the Junkertown map and Pharah.
