“The Ultraviolet Sentinel is the fantasy of Sojourn pushed to its maximum.”
We're only in the middle of Overwatch 2 Season 17, but players are already excited about what's next for Blizzard Entertainment's hero shooter. Through a livestream, the Overwatch 2 developers just revealed the Season 18 mythic skin, and it's a gorgeous one for Sojourn! Here's everything we know about Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn so far, including a first look at the base skin, the different customizations, the potential cost of it, and more.
Sojourn gets Overwatch 2 Season 18 mythic skin
Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn is the mythic hero skin for Overwatch 2 Season 18. The base version of it has our Canadian hero with pearl cybernetic armor with magenta and violet accents. Power appears to flow through these areas, and the back of Sojourn's armor shows this off like a cape. These colors are also featured in Sojourn's eyes, charged weapon, and Disruptor Shot.
"Like with any hero, it's about the fantasy of the hero. What's it like to player this hero? What are their powers and things that go into?" art director Dion Rogers explained. "So with Sojourn, she is our awesome, heroic leader on the team. She's got an amazing railgun, she's kind of that railgun fantasy in the game for all the Quake fans and things out there. So we thought, 'What's the maximum version of her fantasy if we're to elevate her? She's half-cyborg, [so] if we were to push that even further than we did with the base hero, what could that look like?' And so we passed this over to our concept art team, and they started to ideate on this. So the Ultraviolet Sentinel is the fantasy of Sojourn pushed to its maximum."
Below is a first look at the Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn mythic skin. Beyond the base skin, players can customize her look with a mask, new battle armor colors, and more. There are also Gilded Aspect and Iridescent versions of this mythic skin for collectors.

Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn mythic skin cost
Past mythic skins required 80 Mythic Prisms to get all of their customizations. Based on this, it's likely that Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn will also need that many Mythic Prisms as well. Her base mythic skin will likely cost 50 of this in-game currency, too.
To unlock Mythic Prisms, players must either purchase them through the in-game shop or by progressing through the paid seasonal Battle Pass. We can earn a total of 80 Mythic Prisms per season through the latter method, and the Battle Pass requires 1,000 Overwatch Coins or $9.99 USD at minimum.
