Overwatch 2 roadmap 2025

Blizzard's Overwatch 2 roadmap for the year features updates for not only Season 15, but also beyond that. This includes Seasons 16, 17, and 18. For example, while Season 15 includes the arrival of loot boxes, Season 16 promises Freja as a new hero. Meanwhile, Season 17 gets map voting while Season 18 features the arrival of Aqua. As always, each season has its own Battle Pass as well.

Overwatch 2 Season 15

Overwatch 2 Season 15 is full of content, including a Mythic Zenyatta skin, a Mythic Widowmaker weapon, and the introduction of Perks. Competitive updates bring a reset, Galactic weapons, and end-of-season weapon charms. Meanwhile, the mid-season additions feature 6v6 queues for Competitive and Quickplay. There's also an Overwatch Classic: GOATS event. Players can look forward to a LE SSERAFIM collaboration as well. Near the end of the season, folks can even test out Freja before she arrives in Season 16.

Overwatch 2 Season 16

  • New hero Freja
  • Stadium game mode
  • Mythic Juno skin
  • Mythic Mercy weapon
  • Hero bans
  • DokiWatch skins
  • New collaborations

Next, we have Overwatch 2 Season 16. Freja joins the hero roster this season as hero 43. To add to the excitement, players also get to duke it out in the new Stadium game mode. In terms of mythics, they include a skin for Juno plus a weapon for Mercy. The cosmetics don't end there, either. The DokiWatch skin line is something to look forward to as well alongside some new collaborations.

Overwatch 2 Season 17

  • Mythic D.Va skin
  • Mythic Reaper weapon
  • OWCS Mid-Season Championship
  • New Flashpoint map Aatlis
  • Map updates
  • Aqua hero trial
  • Map voting

As for Overwatch 2 Season 17, we have the mythic D.Va skin and mythic Reaper weapon. There's also Aatlis as a new Flashpoint map, the arrival of map voting in Competitive Overwatch 2, and, just like the end of Season 15, a hero trial. This time, it's for a character with the codename Aqua.

Overwatch 2 Season 18

  • New hero Aqua

In terms of Overwatch 2 Season 18, only Aqua is confirmed as new content for it. This hero is of Chinese descent and can wield water-based abilities. According to Blizzard, more information about Aqua will be revealed before he gets fully released in Season 18.
