Overwatch 2 reveals Widowmaker’s mythic weapon: Dame Chance!

Widowmaker players who wish to enter Overwatch 2 matches in style can now get the new Dame Chance weapon skin. This is a cosmetic item of the mythic variety, which means there are a bunch of customization options. Here's how to unlock this mythic weapon skin plus a closer look at its details.

Similar to other mythic weapon skins, this Dame Chance one for Widowmaker has different tiers of customization options. At level 1, players can admire the base mythic weapon skin that appears sleek and deadly. Then, at level 2, Dame Chance gets reactive crystal effects and a mythic HUD. Level 3 features Widowmaker spinning her grappling hook as a weapon flourish. Finally, at level 4, Widowmaker gets a purple kill effect. The video below showcases all of these effects.

If you're interested in the lore behind this weapon skin, then according to Blizzard, it's a gift to Widowmaker from one of Talon's financiers. In Overwatch 2, Talon is one of the main antagonistic factions. Its inner council includes Doomfist, Maximilien, Moira, Reaper, and Sanjay Korpal. Of these characters, Doomfist, Moira, and Reaper are currently playable in the game.

To add this mythic weapon skin to your Overwatch 2 collection, simply launch the game and head over to the Mythic Shop. From there, select the "Dame Chance" option and press the "Unlock All Levels" button. Unlocking all of the customizations for Widowmaker's mythic weapon skin requires 80 Mythic Prisms.

Mythic Prisms can be earned via the paid Overwatch 2 Battle Pass or purchased directly through the in-game shop. The seasonal Battle Pass requires 1,000 Overwatch Coins at the minimum, which is about $9.99 USD.
