The Overwatch 2 Venture patch buffs our favorite mole-person.

Last night, Overwatch 2 put out a small patch. This patch had changes to only two heroes: Venture and Zarya. Although the Zarya changes were minor, the real hero to shine was Venture., who received multiple much-needed buffs. So, let's break down the Overwatch 2 Venture patch and the changes that occurred.

Overwatch 2 Venture buff

Following the Overwatch 2 x Porsche collaboration event, it seems like Overwatch 2's newest addition needed a bit of a buff. And so, Venture got a couple of buffs in last night's Overwatch 2 patch. There were improvements to Drill Dash and Burrow.

Let's break them down.

In the small Venture patch, Venture's Drill Dash received two big changes. First, the cooldown now begins when the ability is used rather than once the dash actually begins.

Next up, and this is the big upgrade, the cooldown of Drill Dash is now accelerated by 90% while underground. Venture is now significantly harder to catch as they have a dash before and after burrowing.

Additionally, when it comes to the burrow, there's now a 0.2-second grace period following the end of Burrow where emerging can still be charged — just for when some last possible second clutch emerges. Suffice to say, the buffs to Venture in this small patch is going to help them out a lot.

Venture wasn't the only one who received a change, of course. Zarya also got a change in the patch. Due to the recent tank knockback changes featured in the Overwatch 2 x Porsche patch, Zarya's self knockback on her secondary fire was significantly less. So, they've increased that self-knockback on secondary fire to account for increased tank knockback resistance.

The update is live now, so hop into Overwatch 2 to test out all the changes yourself!
