Overwatch 2 players can score free loot boxes this week

Overwatch 2 players still have some time left to obtain a couple of free loot boxes.

The latest Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops include a regular and epic loot box, but only for a limited time. Read on for our quick guide on how to unlock and open these freebies.

How to get Overwatch 2 loot boxes through Twitch Drops

  1. Sign in to your Battle.net account via the website
  2. Go to the "Account Overview" section
  3. Click on the "Connections" tab
  4. Scroll down a bit and find the Twitch option
  5. Press the "Connect" button located next to Twitch
  6. Watch Overwatch 2 content on an eligible Twitch channel

To obtain a couple of free loot boxes through Twitch Drops, start by logging in to your account on the Battle.net website. Once you're in, head to the "Account Overview" section, click on the "Connections" tab, and scroll down until you see the option for Twitch. Then, press the "Connect" button to link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts.

Next, head over to an eligible Twitch channel and watch  two hours of Overwatch 2 content for a regular loot box. Watch a total of five hours to earn the epic one as well. To claim these items, visit your Twitch inventory. Remember that you have until Aug. 3 at 11:58 p.m. PT to earn these drops.

The loot boxes should appear in your account the next time you launch Overwatch 2. Simply click on that section in the game’s main menu and open them up.

More free Overwatch 2 loot boxes

If two loot boxes aren’t enough, then it’s worth jumping into the game each week to earn more through regular play. Starting every Tuesday, you can earn up to three loot boxes by completing 27 matches as part of the weekly rewards system. Every season’s Battle Pass includes loot boxes in the free and paid tracks as well, and starting on July 29, you can earn free epic loot boxes by completing matches in a group.
