Overwatch 2 Persona 5 collaboration announced!

Blizzard Entertainment just revealed its Overwatch 2 Persona collaboration! The announcement arrived in the trailer for Season 18.

On Aug. 21, Blizzard Entertainment revealed that players can expect an Overwatch 2 x Persona collaboration happening next season. The reveal happened near the end of the official Overwatch 2 Season 18  Stadium Quick Play trailer.

In this teaser, a silhouetted figure makes an entrance and strikes a pose against a red background patterned with stars. Then, the same figure is shown in closer detail, and we can see him adjusting his red gloves. The figure's white mask then identifies him as Ren Amamiya, also known as Joker, from Persona 5!

As for the Overwatch 2 Persona skins, a Persona 5 Joker skin is possible based on this brief glimpse. Blizzard Entertainment has not yet confirmed which hero will receive it, but many players are nonetheless excited about the crossover. Some fans on X are also in disbelief.

"This is a jam-packed season," reddieredtoons wrote, listing what's next for the game and mentioning the new collaboration as well. "I'm so ready."

This isn't the first time that Overwatch 2 has collaborated with other franchises. Past crossovers have included One-Punch Man, LE SSERAFIM, Diablo 4, Cowboy Bebop, Porsche, Transformers, World of Warcraft, My Hero Academia, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Gundam Wing, Street Fighter 6, G.I. Joe, and, most recently, Nerf.

In terms of what else to expect in Season 18 of Overwatch 2, also known as Stadium Quick Play, players can look forward to Wuyang's arrival, a major perks update, two mythic skins, the return of the Overwatch 2 Summer Games event, Winston, Brigitte, Pharah, and Tracer as Stadium hero additions, Stadium's new Payload Race game mode, three new Stadium maps, and so much more.
