The OWL Grand Finals will feature an exciting announcement for Overwatch 2, including changes to Sombra and Bastion. There will also be an Overwatch 2 exhibition match featuring professional players during the finals on September 25.
Sombra and Bastion to receive reworks in Overwatch 2
Blizzard announced Overwatch 2 as the successor to its hit FPS title on November 1, 2019. After what has been a drought of information about the new game, fans can get a glimpse into the game during the OWL Grand Finals.
Overwatch 2 will bring significant changes to hero designs and playstyle. Fans can expect more information on changes to Sombra and Bastion during the Overwatch League Grand Finals. Bastion also gets a new look in Overwatch 2.
We have teamed up with our partners at the Overwatch League to give you some updates at the pre-show and half-time event of the Overwatch League Grand Finals.
While support heroes will have similar functionalities as in the current game, there will be less overall healing in Overwatch 2. Earlier this week, Overwatch community manager AndyB said support hero Brigitte will no longer be able to stun enemies in Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2 features a 5v5 team composition, which will require significant changes to existing characters and alterations to playstyles. It will also feature new maps and game modes which is sure to generate a lot of interest in the game.

The Pro player exhibition match will feature players in Hawaii that have been eliminated from the tournament. The playoffs use a double-elimination bracket and start on September 21.
The Overwatch League Grand Finals takes place on September 25, starting at 5 pm PT.
