However, at the moment, we know nothing about what Widowmaker's new mythic weapon will be like in terms of effects. The devestating sniper, though, is expected to get quite the unique mythic weapon.

So, when will the Widowmaker mythic weapon be added to Overwatch 2 in Season 15?

At the moment, we do not have an exact release date for the mythic weapon in Overwatch 2. What we do know, though, is that the weapon will be released sometime in Season 15.

With Season 15 beginning on Feb. 18 and Season 16 starting in April, it's possible that the mythic weapon releases in March.

"We wanted something that truly embodied Widowmaker's hero fantasy," said Lauren Soanes, Overwatch 2's game producer. "And our concept artist took that literally."

The weapon takes on the look of Widowmaker's traditional rifle but with some sort of purple electricity running through it. The weapon's visual effects are unknown at the time, as players will have to wait for more information to be revealed by Blizzard.
