Overwatch 2 introduces Domina and connects Vishkar to Talon

Overwatch 2 just released a brand-new short story. This time, it features Vendetta having a conversation with Vaira Singhania, who is a powerful Vishkar executive. She is also known as Domina.

Narrated by Chiara Preziosi and Taj Atwal, Overwatch 2's new "Upper Hand" short story opens with a conversation between Vendetta and Domina. Domina is the latest vice president of operations and development at Vishkar Corporation, and she explains that she's backing a new Colosseo racer, Cloelia, despite Horatius' undefeated record. Vendetta describes Cloelia as Domina's most ruthless champion as well.

Vendetta then asks whether Sanjay Korpal has briefed Domina about some ongoing negotiations. She also makes it clear she didn't rise to the top by accepting scraps and hopes Domina has a more suitable offer given the context of Vishkar's damaged reputation.

That is, the company’s recent controversies include questionable construction practices in Suravasa, inciting an uprising in Rio, and its troubles with Lifeweaver as a runaway architect. Vendetta also mentions Vishkar's connection to Talon.

"Your company is one failure away from a formal investigation. But a public connection to Talon? Oh. That would ruin you," Vendetta says, adding that Vishkar's public image has suffered too greatly to be repaired by sponsoring a few winning matches. If they're to form a partnership, then she'll require more.

"Vishakar's shielding technology would be effective in the Colosseo, but I believe it could have broader applications," Vendetta proposes.

Domina acknowledges both of their reputations and agrees to the partnership, but only on the condition that any success will be hers to claim. Meanwhile, any failures will fall on Vendetta's shoulders alone.

"Are we in alignment, darling?" Domina asks.

"We are," Vendetta says.
